PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos, 285-246 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 13.90 g, 12 h), uncertain mint 9, on Cyprus, circa 285-275. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck; small Δ behind ear. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΠTOΛEMAIOY Eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt; to left, monogram of ΠAΤP above monogram of OE. CPE 415a. SNG Copenhagen 467. Svoronos 764. Somewhat rough and minor marks and the obverse struck slightly off center and with a small cut on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
